Written Instructions

This function allows you to track the progress of individual pupils as they pass through your school. You might choose to do this only once per year, but it would be better to do it twice, or best of all three times per year (once per term). But this depends on your capacity to do this. As an absolute minimum once per year.

The “track individual pupils” function is different to the “monitor whole school” function in that there is a different challenge according to how old the pupils are. It is differentiated and progressive. The idea here being that as pupils mature physically and take part in more fitness activities we should progressively increase the level of expectation and challenge.

  • In Key Stage 1 pupils run for 2 minutes.
  • In Lower Key Stage 2 pupils run for 4 minutes.
  • In Upper Key Stage 2 pupils run for 6 minutes.

The challenges are all very realistic and appropriate to the chronological age of the pupils. You need to watch the videos showing you how to administer the standardised running test. Remember you might need older pupils to help you with your youngest classes. Take in the scores then input them into the software. The software will then do all the work for you in showing how well the pupils are progressing.

Please Note: For this test you need to take out a class list or register to record manually the scores of each individual child.
