Here is a 2 minute video on how to benchmark classes and the school as a whole.

Using the benchmark function provides you with all the baseline data you need to understand how fit your pupils are. Its the first thing you should do once you understand the fitnesstracker software. You might do this only once at the very beginning to inform you of your start position. Its probably better to do annually so you can monitor how you are progressing as a school. If doing annually stick to a particular time of year to make the results more reliable.
To accurately benchmark everyone must everyone must do exactly the same test. The duration of this test is 3 minutes. This is not too difficult for the very youngest, but suitably challenging for the eldest. It is suitable for classes from Year 1 upwards if you so choose. You need to watch the videos showing you how to administer the test. Remember you might need older pupils to help you with your youngest classes.
Take in the scores then input them into the software. Then you can look at all the comparative data to see how well pupils in your school are performing:
- Boys in relation to girls
- One year group against another.
- Parallel classes against one another.
- How your school compares in each category in relation to the national picture.
Groups that are performing at or above national standards will be highlighted in green. Groups performing below national standards will be highltighted in red.
Please Note: For this test you do not need a class list or register – you simply need a piece of paper to write down all girls scores and all boys scores.
